The kyokushinkaï karate school was created by Master Oyama. It's regarded as hardest, most effective, but also most intransigent of the Japanese karate schools. One learns there the body control and the spirit through very physical trainings where respect and discipline are omnipresent. His typical circular techniques come from Gojû Ryû and from various styles of Kenpo and boxings. You will learn : techniques of breathing, training "cardio", natural musculation, stretching, basic Kyokushin techniques, Katas, self-défense, breakage techniques ''Tameshiwari'' and application in free fight '' kumity'', the ultimate truth (on high level, the engagements are practised with the K.O., without protection as regards the competitions) ! During the lessons, protections are obligatory.
Mas Oyama founded in 1964 the Kyokushin style which means “the way of the ultimate truth”. His style became the most popular style, with more than 12 million practise throughout the world. His style was quickly called : "The Strongest Karate", not only because of the incredible performances of his powerful demonstrations, but also because of the high level trainings and its competitions. With his death, in April 94, at 70 years old, Mas Oyama left a very confused organization.
It's said that it would have chosen like successor Akiyoshi Matsui. But several of graded high Japanese and the “Branch chiefs” (owners of dojo) don't accept this decision and don't give their confidence to this one. They then formed their own organizations.
